Dear Friend, First and foremost, the EAC team hopes you are all healthy during the pandemic and able to find time to get outside to enjoy the sunshine somewhere close to home. We know this is a difficult time for many, and some of us are feeling "cooped" up during the Shelter-in-Place orders, so we want to bring some nature to you! As a special thank you to our supporters, and to honor Earth Day and the Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival, we are announcing a FREE series of online webinars to keep you engaged with Wild West Marin from April 24th through May 1st. These webinars are focused on bird conservation, spring migration, wildflowers, bobcats, Cooper's Hawks, Spotted Owls, and some special family programming for the little ones in your lives. Check out the webinars below, and click here register. As you know, we were disheartened that we needed to cancel the 11th annual Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival. The Festival provides 20% of our annual income, and brings together our community to celebrate our unique lands, waters, and biodiversity in West Marin and beyond. The Festival is one of our favorite events of the year, when we get together to experience this unique area, see what it is we protect, learn from our amazing guides, visit with old friends, and make new connections. Over the past few weeks we have been working to officially cancel the event, and through that process we connected with our attendees and sponsors whose generosity has truly made our hearts soar! From the entire EAC team, I want to thank all our sponsors and attendees who generously donated all or a portion of their registration fees to us. We are humbled by your support, as your contributions are helping us make it through these unprecedented times. To thank our community and honor the spirit of the annual Birding & Nature Festival, I hope you can join us for one, or all of our webinars. Thank you to our webinar guides, Jack, Katie, David, Sarah, Craig, and Todd for creating these presentations for everyone to enjoy! We are looking forward to connecting with everyone in the spirit of the Festival! I am so grateful for your support, which has helped us protect wetlands, enact local protections for migratory and nesting birds, support land-use policies to protect habitat and species from development, protect our Tomales Bay and Bolinas Lagoon watersheds, and so much more. We can't do our work without you! Stay tuned for more ways to engage with us this year - stay subscribed and ready for action! In gratitude, |
