Community Waste Audit
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
In celebration of EAC's Coastal Climate educational exhibit, we are hosting a community waste audit to assess the types and quantities of waste produced in downtown Point Reyes Station to highlight the connection of single-use trash, plastics, and how methane in our landfills contributes to climate change.
Single-Use Waste & Climate
Touchstone Talk
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Hear from community partners, Zero Waste Marin, West Marin Climate Action, Marin County Reusable Foodware Ordinance team members, and Marin County District Four Supervisor's office about the work being done to meet zero waste goals for compost, landfill, and recycling; implementing the reusable foodware ordinance; and how single-use plastics and waste contribute to climate change.
The exhibit is made possible thanks to a collaboration between Regeneration, Zero Waste Marin, Richard Lang and Judith Selby-Lang, West Marin Climate Action Eco-Sorting Stations, Marin County Community Development Agency (and the Office of Sustainability), and Marin County District Four Supervisor's office. The event is sponsored by West Marin Fund and the generous contributions made to EAC to celebrate the 50th Anniversary to protect and sustain the unique lands, waters, and biodiversity of West Marin.
